As long as it's a Crss-Over cable you can. The physical connection is simple: You take one end of the cable and input it into the ethernet port on the back of the Xbox, then you input the other end of the cable into the port on the other Xbox.

If you use a router (requires at least two cables) you can use a normal ether net cable. You use one cable per Xbox and put the other ends into the router.

yes you can. just plug the ends of the ethernet cable into both xboxes.

If the PP in spite of settings dont restore it then clean them. Plug on your 360 to the modem. Then decrease the capability to the modem. no longer in basic terms turn it off yet unplug it from the wall. Plug it lower back in and turn it on. it may paintings after that. to stay away from doing this each and every time you desire to regulate between the two bypass to ultimate purchase and get a router.
