After his unsportsmanlike actions toward his own teammate....I don't think he should be playing in it let alone competing in the Derby last night

I am talking about him poking his pitcher in the face in the dugout!

You don't know what was said to him. Its a Kenny Rogers situation, or anything, its an internal team problem. The Marlins haven't even suspended him, MLB has no right to step in.

If a rookie pitcher gets in the face of a three time all star (in three years of ML service), hes got to expect something will happen. Not that I'm codoning what Cabrera did, but the pitcher shares responsibilty.

As unsportsmanlike as it looks, there is something to be said about what happened in the dugout aganist his own teammate. But to leave him off cuz of that I think that it would be a mis-steak! Even though he is a bit of a ham...

You're blaming Cabrera? Watch the game carefully and what happened.

The pitcher COMPLETELY showed him up on the field, after Cabrera failed to make a play. After they got into the dugout, the pitcher got in his face. What else was there to do?

Miguel Cabrera is the heart and sole of the Marlins. Not to mention the leader too.

Yes he should. He is one of the top players in baseball and despite his young age, is insanely consistent with his numbers. He is only 23 and has selected to go to the All Star game 3 times. Amazing. I am not sure of the incident that you speak of with the teammate.

What unsportsmanlike behavior he is the most sportmanslike ball player around refusing to talk to reporters or play into rivallys that they were trying to create and shaking opposing players hands that he was supposed to be having problems with. come on give me a break!

Yes he should be allowed to play. The all star game is voted on by the fans, if they didn't like what happened then they shouldn't have voted for him.

Plus what happened in that game and the All Star Game have nothing to do with each other.

If every guy who acted like a jerk at some time were not allowed to play in the All-Star game you would have a hard time fielding a team.

he's an all-star for his performance on the field. if unsportsmanlike actions were considered, kenny rogers wouldn't even be allowed to step onto the field.

Huh did not hear anything about it.But I still think he should be allowed to play, hes a damn good ball player and hes young, and he will do amazing things for the NL tonite.

although he has not hit many home runs, his average is there and has played very well toward the all-star break. he deserves a spot on the team. he is one of the best talents in all of baseball. if mark redman made the team, i believe that cabrera deserves to be on it too.
