We will find out more about it in the third movie, but the implication was that Jack Sparrow made a deal with Davy Jones to raise the Black Pearl from the bottom of the ocean so he could be the captain of it.

well first, learn how to listen and pay attention. second, apparently the black pearl was about to sink and jack sparrow and davey jones made a deal. if davey jones raised the black pearl from the depths of the ocean and let jack be the captain for 13 years, jack would give his sould to davey jones and serve him for 100 years. technically jack was only captain of the pearl for 2 years, but that's beside the point.

Not sure if I can give you a good answer but then I have not seen the movie but referring to the first movie the name is mentioned often and most likely plays an important role in the mythology of it. From my understanding Davey Jones Locker seems like some type of underworld language so maybe he made a pact with him or something.

oky i'm from east Europe and we've a theory right here (regardless of if we've funds) why might want to i purchase something when I can get it loose(a minimum of to attempt it) Sims 3 is an mind-blowing .. unhappiness even they grant you with tones of alternative products and citis contained in the unique launch cd the important concepts of the game iamge high quality etc received't replace its purely sims 2 with the loading time fix thats all so don;t purchase the game is a way that we are able to say to EA to give up providing us crap and make a strong recreation i'm so unhappy because sims 3 has a lot skill yet they limi it to a recreation for a toddler recreation. the unique followers of sims now are in there 20s in case you want a aggressive recreation then imagine about it get a lite version 4 children and a complicated middle 4 us ciao
