sometimes when im chating with people on internet and internet games, and i hit the backspace key, it sends me to the last page. it doesn't happen everytime and it sometimes happens in the middle of a sentence. it really makes me mad and the other players mad. is there any way to fix that or am i doomed into everlasting hell?

The backspace key will execute the "back" function in your browser on most webpages. The webpage or application you are using determines the behavior so sadly you have no control over this other than to use your "delete" key instead of "backspace". The delete key will perform the function you desire every time.

Backspace causes the browser to back when the browser is the active window. It should not do it though if your cursor is in a text box. Perhaps while you are typing the browser jumps out of the text box., and you hit backspace and you go back... try this just to illustrate.... Click on the title bar at the top (where it says Yahoo! Answers), now hit backspace... see you go back. This is a feature of your browser... I do not think it can be disabled

this is not a problem, this feature from windows, and now when i press in backspace take me to previous page.
Just try to press backspace now at yahoo answers and watch.
and sorry there is no fix to this thing.
