SERIOUSLY. I'm torn. I have not a clue as to what to do with my life. I'm 22, and I still haven't even started school. I'm going to register at some community college and do my basics, but how do I go about choosing a degree? I think about 93.425% of them sound great, I just don't want to be stuck with something that I'll hate 3 years down the road.

I chose business and history degrees. Really a general degree is all you need to find what you like. Attend career fairs, basically it is like life trial and error.

I guess I was lucky; I knew the two main things I wanted to do when I was in 9th grade. Unfortunately, I found out that the requirements for astronaut at that time prevented someone as nearsighted as I am from pursuing that line of work. But studying nuclear physics and reactor control led into the more general field of electronics, and I found that I enjoyed work that combined both my mechanical skills with my abilities in electronic fields. So I get to work on automation equipment and networking equipment now.

For now, the main thing is if you don't have a particular interest in some sort of labor or service field at this time, and you have the ability to succeed in college, get yourself enrolled somewhere. Try to pick a field that you feel is the most interesting, but keep your options and eyes open. If you discover something along the way that you find more interesting, you can shift to that and complete your education at that time. And even after you leave school, you may find the 'school of life' leads you down yet another path. I personally feel I've spent my whole life learning things, and I don't regret that a bit.

Think what you want to do most in life, this is how I chose my career.

Think what career will fullfill your dreams your passion will push you to succeed .

I loved having free time also wanted work that help other people because the way humans a made, If they help others they help themselves in many ways .

If you believe In God or not you know the way we were created if we give to other ,It make us happier, contented in life ,it even builds up your confidence, this is the most shocking fact those who make a life of helping others are naturally healther people.

After saying all of this ,I have to tell you if you are not making good money then you will not be happy either.

I help others an get paid very very good for it have a look at this course I took and see if it is a good fit for you www.GardenHoldings.com.

when i applied to schools I basically only knew what I did not want to do.. like teaching, doctor, etc... I ended up appling for Engineering because I figured if I did not like engineering I could drop out and do something else... but if I had started somewhere else it would be very hard to switch into something like engineering. I got lucky and found something I was able to enjoy, however if I hadn't of liked it I still had the option of changing to an easier major.

Try not looking at the degree but your dream job. What do you really want to be doing. If that doesn't work try taking an aptitude test and look at a job that maximizes your skills. Then look for a degree that you need to get your dream job.

Its very simple... what do you like doing? What is your passion? Once you understand that, everything comes naturally. Don't go to a community collage to do your basics. Its a waste of time and a lot of universities will not use your credits.

I've made a living out of my hobby. I'm a musician and I picked this because I'm good at it plus I found I couldn't function in any other work place. I don't like to boss others around and I certainly don't like to be bossed around.
