when i was little, my mom used to make small picture scaventure hunts for me and my sister on rainy days. She would hand us a 'clue' which was a piece of paper she had drawn some object in the house on. We would go to that object and find another piece of paper with a picture of another object and go there. At the final object she would have some small treat like candy.

Make a list of things that people can find, for example
a leaf with an insect hole
a piece of tinfoil
a bottle cap
a coffee cup
something red and blue
a dandelion
a picture of a building
etc.
