I heard this will be the most faithful adaptation of Dick's work thus far. However, I'm not a huge fan of Richard Linkletter, but I loved this book.

But not because of the approach.

There has always been a problem with trying to convert the works of Philip K. Dick to the screen, as the director and/or writer muck with the ending.

"Total Recall" has a vicious ending, "Minority Report" is tragic, "Blade Runner" ("Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep") is closer with the Director's Cut.

I hear Linkletter mucked with the ending, so all the cel shading means nothing if the plot stinks.

No, I think it looks very good. I've never met a Phillip K. Dick movie that I didn't like.

I don't think it'll suck...but like most "big summer movies" it probably won't live up to the hype

It might have a "Blair Witch" effect and make people sick with the wierd technological effects.
