You're thinking of "The Wreck of the Titan" by Morgan Robertson, published in 1898, 14 years before the Titanic went down.
Creepy, huh? I don't know of any other work of fiction that so closely parallels a future historic event.
BTW, you can read the whole thing at the link below.

A novel was written in the late 1800's about a great ship named the Titan. Like the Titanic, it hit an iceberg in the Atlantic and sunk, killing thousands.

There was a story that came out in the 1880s or 1890s about the biggest ship ever built, called the Titan. On its maiden voyage, it struck an iceberg and sank, killing 1600 people.
We all know what happened in 1912.

Their WAS a book written about a boat named the Titan that was unsinkable and hit an iceburg and sunk. And it was written before the titanic was built. Creepy, huh! Did you know that the Titanic has a sister ship that looks exactally like it? I don't remeber it's name though.

What do you mean? Do you mean the ships that were slightly smaller than the Titanic by the same ship building company? They were called the Olympic and Brittanic.
