Don't we all hope so! Unfortunately, we are at the mercy of the cleaning crew. I have a friend who always takes her own sheets with her. I highly doubt they wash comforters more than once or twice a week.

I cannot answer for all brands of hotels/motels. But my boyfriend used to work for a Hilton property and they washed theirs after each guest. So if you stayed there 4 days, you would get fresh sheets every day, but not a fresh comforter. That comforter would be changed before the next guest in that room however. I have heard rumors that cheap places do not wash comforters very often, like once a month, but I have no proof.

I have worked in a Super 8, Econo Lodge, and a Cranberry Suites /Lodge. I was a housekeeper and I washed the linens. We washed comforters every couple months unless the got really dirty.

I have no experience, but I would say "no" because thier are some hotels that say they would like to be "eco-friendly" and they would like it if they could put off cleaning your towels unless you really need them cleaned.

Not every time they are used and from what I have heard they rarely do unless they have a huge big obvious noticeable stain on them. Do not ever ever use them as they have so many nasty germs, sperm and who knows what on them.... eeewwww yuck!
