You know, french fries, pizza, soda, that sort of stuff. I say get it the heck out of every school. Just throw it out.

Give the kids nutritious foods (milk, vegetables, meatloaf, fresh fruit, baked chicken), and maybe they won't be so fat and lethargic.

i think it's about as disgusting as something i heard on the radio this morning, which is that advertisers are trying to get something called "streamed radio" onto school buses? which means direct-to-kid advertising w/the commercials on their way to school.

i completely agree with you on the junk food thing, and i see the advertising as junk food for the brain (and *forced* junk food, in the case of the radio on buses).

kids are being pummeled by and drowned in all this crap before they're old enough to understand what it is, or make informed decisions about it.

get it the heck out!

I really think that the educational system is breaking down and offering foods that the kids are accustomed to and used to having. Half the reason why America is so obese compared to most countries. My parents would of never allowed this in my youth. Parents of today are too lineant and spoil there kids rotten.

Well sure that may work up until Jr. High, but once your in HS you rarely even eat on campus. And I might add that it's cheaper for them to buy the more junkie type foods. You know I remember in JHS that when they did serve the chicken and stuff it was artificial. I just don't think they can aford it.

I think it's contradicting to the health classes they promote in educating their students. You would think that if they were "so concerned" in educating students about a healthy well-being, mentally and physically, they would make more nutritious foods more available, offering a well-balanced meal as shown in the food pyramid (USDA).

I agree with you 100%. Some kids, don't eat what we send to school with them 'cause they know that all the junk will be available to them.

I think the junk should be replaced also. If the termptation is there the kids are going to eat it.
