Not a good driving habit, especially if you ever try to learn stick-shift. The only time I had to drive like this is when I had an old car that had to be revved-up all the time, so at the stop lights I had to give it a little gas while holding brakes.

I know some people who do this...your braking response time is actually better than using one foot, but here's one thing to remember...don't rest your foot on the brake pedal. Some people do, and accidentally will partly press it without knowing they're doing it, causing abnormal brake wear. Also, obviously don't rest your right foot on the gas...unless rear-end collisions are something you enjoy.
If you are a beginning driver, it might be good to get into the habit of just using your right foot for both pedals.
Hope this helped.

This is considered dangerous by most experts. I don't do it for that reason.
Why? Because there is the possibility of not taking your foot off the gas pedal when you apply the brake pedal. Then you would not be stopping as quickly as applying the brake pedal alone.
That's why driver education classes teach everyone to use the same foot for both pedals.

You sound like a race car gal!!!
I drive like that when I'm racing on a circuit track to keep the gas pedal on. And on curves tap or press the breaks while my right foot is still in the gas!!

I've only ever driven sticks so when I had to use a rental car when some guy totaled my car, they gave me an automatic to drive. That was the way I drove for that week and a half.People thought I was nuts but it worked for me. I was really greatful to get into another manual though! LOL

In Asian countries you need to drive like this only as they have clutch ,Brake & gas pedal on foot.Your left foot should change between clutch & brake whenever u change gear & right foot for gas.

... that's very silly AND dangerous ... in an automatic car You better control all with Your right foot!!! ... the left one is relaxing and stabilizing Your body while driving ... but never both feet
on the pedals – this is suicide !!!!!!
( Don't You have driving schools in Your home country ?!?!?)
