I have been trying to find out the distance between certain points in the Amazon. I am trying to find out the distance between Altamira, Brazil and Santa Cruz, Brazil (on the Uruara River) via land. I have a map but it's distance key is not clear.

I tried google earth and the other link. On google earth it shows me the locations, but I don't know how to find out the distances. I'm going to keep at it though.

goto this link you can get really close and from there you can pinpoint distances... you have to download the software, but its free
