There are two in my opinion ( but then again my opinion doesn't matter because I'm a Yankee Fan )

1. George Herman Ruth "The Babe"
2. Ted Williams

i'd say with roids, bonds, without, ruth, joe d., willie mays, maybe griffey jr, cobb, or Rogers Hornsby. He is the most underrated player in baseball. he won 2 triple crowns, almost won 2 others, hit over 400 twice, and was a solid fielder and had decent power.

W/ Steroids - Barry Bonds
W/Out Steriods - Too Tough

Pitching/Batting has to go to Babe Ruth who did both and excelled in both - I doubt Ken Griffey will pitch x amount of games along with his records.
