Blocks are those factors that limit or distort your ability to approach something critically. Here is one of many possible blocks:

A parent who places an extremely high value on his child's scholastic achievement may be blinded to the fact that his child has a learning disability. The parent's block may be this:

He is able to note and assess all the signs of his kid's learning disability but chalks it up to simple laziness.

Critical thought barriers are influenced primarily by society.

Society is literally different everywhere.

Ergo the perceived blocks are many and varied.

imagine a big big box. inside the box is the world. a person can look at the world from any direction. they will believe that they have exhausted all possibilities for viewing the world, but they are still thinking inside of the box.
