CV Joint is a Constant velocity joint. It is what allows your front wheels to turn and still pull the car in a front wheel drive. It takes a special tool to replace them and the part it self isn't usually too expensive for an American car. However Labor might be.

gee sorry daniel but uve got it a wee bit mixed up a differential allows different rates of speed between two tires cornering the ackerman principle lets the steering tires have two different turning angles and i think the only place ive heard of constant variable is on the newer transmissions that work like the older garden tractors steady power thru ongoing ratio changes a cv joint is like ahh cant see his name now sorry said it provides a corner in a axle shaft not a lot different than a u-joint just has more available working angle

If you're referring to a "CV joint", it stands for "Continuously Variable". This is the part of a front-wheel-drive car that allows your car's wheels to turn at different rates when you steer your car left or right.

In the UK, and nearby countries, a "cv" is a resume - it stands for the Latin "curriculum vitae" or list of life events. Just do up a good resume and give it to them....good luck!
