I'm re-discovering my youth & got into X stitching again......

if you're creative enough, another option is to find a picture/image you like, and transfer it onto graph paper (by means of tracing paper) - then the possibilities are endless.

Depends what you are looking for. Have you got a local haberdashery shop? Otherwise, there are plenty of magazines available now offering patterns. Also, Ebay if you're looking for something in particular.

My mums a brilliant knitter, do you know all the hollywood stars (female) are starting to get into it, Gwineth paltrow and so on.
