I'd like to continue swimming, but was told to wait 3 weeks until it heals. What will happen to my tattoo if I continually get it wet before it heals? Anybody know??

Thanks!

It will never scab over and heal. It could very possibly bleed out. Also think of the other people who swim in that pool or all of the stuff that grows in the pond lake or ocean where ever you swim there are germs and bacteria. You do not want to put an open wound (which is what a tattoo is) in that kind of water. If you fork out all that cash for a tattoo then follow the artists recommendations they know what they are talking about.

I would wait til it heals..the chlorine from the water might infect your tattoo.

Congrats on your tat

Well I think that you would get it wet on your everyday life anyway,(showering)unless your really nasty, wich I doubt,I think it yould be ok as long as its not under water for an extended period or time,Good Luck!!

it will dry out and your skin will crack... should not take three weeks to heal though.... two maybe.
