i understand the movie, but i don't understand why EMILY was possesed. WHAT DID SHE DO? did she sin BIG TIME? or what?

its been a long time since i saw the movie but i think it was because she had so much faith. the truest most faithful believers are the ones that are most susceptible to possession. she have lucifer himself and 4 other demons in her.

no, it was totally random. such is the case with possession, i think. it is not a punishment from god, just being on a demonic hit list so to speak
