controlled by the need for a regular income.
If you won the lottery you would choose not to go - therefore you are in control.
(PS you have to buy a ticket!)

You know what you should do, post a question that asks "Who hate their jobs but would commit to it anyway?" and you would find out you're not the only one. And when everybody is in the same situation, then you're not being controlled.
What matters is that you feel obligated to your job, but you also understand that you HAVE to do it. That's where the money comes from. And money makes many things happen. It's not about be in control or be controlled. It's about understanding what is neccesary. But you also need to know that, this is not the only job in the world. It may be the only job you possess right now but I'm sure if you keep a look out, you would find a better job. Or maybe you're simply seeking changes. Good luck!

If your really a sociologist, you can make your stuff a traveling show. And if you can really be your own boss, why not have fun and start getting even with all the customers who you have wanted to be honest with. And your coworkers who are doing so much evil to the world just because thats who they are, give them a rundown on reality, each individually. Then head for the real canker. The boss. Give him or her a reality check like say at 5 a.m. Come to work early and set up a big demonstration in the parking lot or on the sidewalk with all the reasons to not come to your current agency and what the boss and coworkers have ever done wrong at work. But don't let on it would be you. And just don't go back to work ever again.

I fear we are all masters of our own destiny,I was always told if you don't like something in your life you are the only one that can change it.
Try to find a job you would be better suited to, if you have a skill follow that route. I left my job working in a reception in a hotel after my maternity leave ended, I applied for a job as a care work assisstant, did my two weeks training and it's the best thing I have ever done.I love my job and it's put me on a track I've always wanted to be on, I'm hoping to qualify as a nurse when my little one is older.
Good luck in whatever you do, I hope it gets better.

I'll put odds on your bet........especially if you're not looking for something else you're qualified and would enjoy doing.
Obviously not in control of the employment area of your life.
Hard to say, about other matters in your life. I would hope you're taking some form of control, or you could be living an unhappy dead end journey.

we all need to work for the money...if you hate your job then try to find one that is more interesting to you and would make you happier.....but I'm sure you will still find something to complain about it in a little while.........I don't think we are being controlled by our work or boss....there are rules...but its up to you if you want to follow and face the consequence if you don't.........its also your choice whether you can be happy or not.....lighten up.....there are millions out there who doesn't have a job......or earn much, much smaller than you do.....

i dunno it seem it could be a bit of both but i reckon its more u being controlled than being in control because if u hated ur job u would get a better one or be looking for one during ur time of because what is a job if u dont enjoy it ok sure its money at they end of the day but you can get that in a job you enjoy.

If you truly hate your job start looking for another one in your spare time and when you are interviewed and know that you have the job, give your two weeks notice if you can and move on.
