What is a fast and easy way to find my ancestors from Ireland?

I know my great grandfather immigrated into Boston, not Ellis Island, sometime in the mid or late 1800s.

Fast and easy????? If that's all you've got, you may be able to widdle it down to which county he MIGHT have come from if his surname isn't too common. But it's not like there's anyone still alive who would remember him there.
