I am almost 8 weeks pregnant and just started to have to urinate frequently. I read that a sign of a UTI is the urge to urinate but only being able to pass a small amount of urine. I have no other symptoms of UTI. Right now I have to go to the bathroom a lot more than usual and it's just small amounts. I'm wondering, they say frequent urination happens in pregnancy, but are the amounts that of which when you wake up in the morning? Or are they of small amounts? TIA.

Should I worry if I don't have any other symptoms of a UTI?

Frequent urination is a common symptom of pregnancy. This is due to pressure of the enlarging uterus on the bladder. However because of physiologic changes in the urinary tract of pregnant women, they are more prone to UTI. Here the urinary frequency is usually accompanied by a burning pain when urinating (dysuria) but not in all cases. It could just be nothing. To be sure, you can do a urinary test for infection. If positive your doctor can prescribe an antibiotic for you.

Sounds like an UTI to me but I am not a MD. Call your Dr's nurse and talk to her about it. You may need to go have an UA done to outrule an UTI.

This is normal. Your bladder is probably being pressured.
