Truthfully, and I don't mean to be a downer, I don't know why she's still around. When she first came out, I was very young and naive and got sucked into thinking she was great, then I heard her try to sing live at the MTV awards and she couldn't hit a freakin' note and she's all breathy. ... So ever since then, she's lip synced everything... and that's not being talented to me. I don't get why anyone really likes her... I can understand maybe her songs have a good beat, but someone else wrote it, came up with the beat and produced it so her voice would sound good.. cuz she doesn't have a good voice w/out technology.... I don't think she's bad looking... I think she was one of the first to start selling her body instead of her music and that irritates me when her fan base is 14 year-old girls who want to emulate her. I mean, did no on see that she had her "break-down" cuz Glitter bombed... does know one see the only time she'd talk back against Eminem is when he was in rehab ... I don't know, she's a hack and a whore as far as I'm concerned... and as far as the answer above saying she's better than Justin Timberlake .. what? JT cowrites his stuff, can actually play an instrument and oh my gosh, can sing live and even dance real good at the same time ....

My wife says Mariah is a (word beginning with s that Yahoo won't show) . I say she's got a great voice. Do this test to find your real opinion about any musical artist: listen to the music without watching the video. If you still like Mariah without staring at her bits, you like her music.

Mariah Carey has the voice of a angel. there is absolutely no singer out their that cant compare. even my favorites like shakira and Alicia keys or every ones favorite like beyonce and Tina turner can not compare to this chick. she hits notes i didn't even know existed. the only bad thing is that when she comes out with a new video or her new song hits the radio, people play it out like crazy and her songs because of this , get old fast.

She's never been hot as hell; she sounds the same every damn time - she ripped off Genius Of Love by the Tom Tom Club and ruined that damned song. If you want to hear a woman do sex noises, then have sex or listen to early Donna Summer.

Mariah Carey was cool back when she first started, she's still talented but it seems like all that fame got to her head...she acts like she's too good for everyone now.

Mariah is a beautiful talented woman and I for one am glad to see her back on the music scene. I know she has what it takes to be on the scene for years to come and grow in time to be the reigning diva she already shows she can be.

She keeps revamping herself.
Her clothing style may be controversial,
but no one can deny her skills.
Her wide vocal range is impressive.
She is one of my all-time favorite singers.

I thought Mariah was hotter when she first came out. Her music is good, I like her most recent album, but I am tired of looking at her. She is so phony it is not even funny. But, I guess from a guys standpoint she has nice boobs, so you have something to look at....

I love the younger Maria Carey, she is sooo talented my fave is Butterfly(the album) but she so conceited and arrogant, i just don't like her as a person
