Holland and Portugal certainly have had strong teams in the past, and I was truely hoping that Figo & Co could have made it at least to the final once they got to the semi's.
Mexico is a bit more of a long shot.
The US team could pull it off, if they teach their midfielders to handle defensive responsabilities, and they stop counting on McBride as a forward.

1. GERMANY!!! they'll become mid-age group and more mature.
2. Portgual -- the team's that got potential ... you'll never know what will come out of them.
3. Brazil -- they need a HUGE successful comeback after losing badly against the French. Or else, their "kingdom of soccer" nickname will be gone.
4. Ghana -- incrediable.
5. Ukraine -- first time being in World Cup and they've made it this far already. this is a team that needs to be watch.
6. Argentina -- they've only lost to Germany by PK, and they were great throughout the tournament.
7. Holland -- even though they have Robjen...the team needs a lot of training to become the elite 7. They have potentials.
--France have only Ribery and Henry ...that's about it. Maybe Sagnol but he's in his late 20s.

Is hard to tell, because doesn't depend only on skills. A team has to know how to win games, and that's the most difficult thing to do Even Argentina, with probably the most skilled team in this cup, didn't know how to win their game with Germany, been clearly superior. On the other hand, Brazil, with their worst team ever, was very close to win it all. .

It would be very interesting if an African team won the cup, but highly unlikely. Still, it would be cool for someone like the Ivory Coast to win it all. Maybe with a little luck and an easier group...
