they are also called HeadHunters. Most specialize in certain areas. Hudson is a big one. Knightsbridge is big too. they don't deal with entry level positions. You call them, send your resume in, if they see any potential, they'll want to meet with you. then, their clients (the HR people at companies) will perhaps meet with you when they have a suitable opening.
