If your stomach hurts then you have cramps. Take some midol and drink hot chocolate. Then you shouldnt have cramps for the rest of the day. After a while you will get use to your period.

Honey, mine is on right now too but thank goodness that I"m not cramping. It does make you feel insecure and uncomfortable but you just have to make sure you are clean with it. What I mean by that is make sure you change on a regular basis b/c you will smell. I'm sure you do not want people to make fun of you b/c you have body odor. It is nothing to be ashame of even though it appear that some kids tease about it. So what??? You would rather have your period instead of being pregnant, right? At least your period says you are growin up and you are not pregnant. Keep that in mind, okay!!!! With your period, you will get headaches, stomach pains, all kind of pains but you just take some advil, tylenol, Midol, or Aleve. Those things are Great for cramps and headaches. Keep some in your purse b/c you will definitely need something. Since you just got your period, make sure you have pads for night time especially since you are heavy. You will need the big bulky kind so you want have over night accidents. It is alot to think about when you are becoming a woman. I know it doesn't help when your mom says it is a part of life but it is and it is nothing to be pissed about. You are growing up and it is time to except it. Good Luck!!! Enjoy Woman Day!!!! That is what my mom calls it!!!

It will be strange at first, but you'll get used to it.After all , it means that your body is healthy, right?
First of all, NEVER walk bare foot, drink vitamin C, do some light exercise and avoid caffeine and alcohol. If you can't stand pain or if it's too strong ,try lying on your bed covered with several blankets because your stomach needs to feel warm.
You might have changes on your appetite. You'll have a huge need for sweets.Don't worry and eat as much as you like, it will disappear after several days. You may be over sensitive, but that's normal too !

Take some tylenol. Being a woman is painful. If you are having cramps don't wear tampons use pads instead. Some women have heavier flows than others. And you might not have a period next month. Teen girls are usually very irregular. If it bothers you you can try birth control pills.

it is normal for this to happen, your mother is absolutely right you shouldn't freak out about it because it is a part of growing up. You will become more comfortable with it as you get you period more often. To make yourself feel better you can eat chocalate if you like it, take pamprin, midol, or motrin to stop the pain.

The beginning of your period is always heavy and sometimes it's painful. The pains are the contractions in your uterus that helps to push out the lining, or blood, in your uterus. Good luck. If the pain gets to bad then you should use a heating pad or drink or eat something hot because heat helps to relieve the pain.

Take Motrin or Midol..For crampsand bloating.. if it hurts to much use hot or cold packs for your back or stomach...Far as the flow it's normal your first or 2 days of menstral..Just were pads for heavy flow but it will get lighter as the day is over...
Try hot showers..too..that sometimes helps me..

You will never become comfortable with it. I have had mine for four years now and I get upset every time it comes. The best thing to do is to take some pain releiver and prop your feet up and wate for menapus.

Wow, I remember when I first strated my period. At first I was sooooo excited, then I hated it. Periods suck ***. There isn't really a way to "make it more comfortable". Using tampons will keep blood from getting all over your netherregions though.
