Because there was once one "original" animal that thousands (or millions) of years ago that was not entirely human, ape, or monkey, but had characteristics of all. through time, some of those became monkeys, and some became ape-human "mixes". (monkeys and apes are NOT the same). After that, the second group branched out into the apes and humans.
Since monkeys are now monkeys, there is no way they can turn to humans overnight.
Just so you have something to ask if someone asked you the same question: Why are human track runners not transforming into horse-men that could run faster? Just a thought... :)

Monkeys are completely different to humans and no monkey like creature has ever evolved into a human.
Some people have philosophical reasons for wanting to believe it is so but the evidence does not support it. Every hominid fossil found so far is either clearly human or clearly ape - no missing links.
There is, in any case, no known mechanism to add genetic information, as postulated by evolution. Mutations do not add information.
Don't take my word for it, and don't take the above ranters' word for it. Check out the evidence for yourself.
Answers in Genesis has loads of articles - some quite technical.
Of course they have a biased interpretation of the evidence, but then so do evolutionists. Everyone has the same actual evidence - see if *you* think it supports the evolutionary hypothesis.
I checked and found it does not.

I think I know what you mean.
Are you trying to say that if primates are evolving, then why aren't we seeing more "missing links" or "ape-men". I have been wondering this too. If Darwinists believe in natural selection and other evolution crap, how come their aren't more "human-looking" apes? If we are the most dominant species on the planet, why aren't the little monkey brains evolving to be more like us? And even if evolution takes millions of years, they would still be showing more signs of human-likeness.
I say evolution is a pile of ****. It's such a jump, even more of a jump than creationism. Why do so many scientists support it?

Why does not creationists not rite good or reed the answers to this same question?
If you don't know the difference between a monkey and an ape or ape like ancestor, why are you even bothering to ask a question whose answer is beyond the limits of your comprehension?
There are at least three permutations of this same inane question on the board at any given time. All of which are well answered.
You read the question on some creationist pablum site and expect it to be seen as some kind of insight. It isn't, it's crap put into your head by people who want to keep you in the dark.
They gin up stuff that in your mind confirms what you already want to believe. It relies on your own ignorance about biology and isn't convincing to anyone who knows something about natural history.

We are a different branch on the tree,I've had monkey's as a pet.We are so similar its scary. From the lines in there faces to their hands to there DNA.Like a leopard frog, won't turn into a toad. But,they come from a similar ancestor. The chicken and turkey you eat has scale's on it legs, like a lizard,3 toe's.Any chance you could think they are related to dinosaurs. If they where then dinosaurs were warm blooded.I would say that they would of tasted pretty good then too.

In the old times monkeys and chimps found the
secret of how to turn into human beings. But then
Eve ate an apple she shouldn't have eaten and
the rest of the primates reallized they where better
off hanging around in trees.

I will be glad to be one of the first to answer your question, make sure to select my answer as the best. The reason is, evolution takes a very long time, thousands or millions of years, now if this evolution has taken place already, basically we probably wont see it much again. With everything being industrialized by us humans, we wont probably wont see it happening again because their is no room for animals to evolve much in that way

Evolution is a process that takes millions of years. Survival of the fittest means that there have to be successful mutations to improve (or evolve) the species. But unless that mutation is stable enough to pass on to babies--no evolution. Perhaps monkeys (primates) are evolving even now. Perhaps we are too. Also, if you have doubts, look into what scientists say now about birds vs. dinosaurs.

The quran has hellenic science which is very outdated science that scientist no longer consider. The greeks were the most advanced in science during that time and that is how muhammad as a merchant traveler got information to write these "scientific discoveries." Evolution is a proven theory good day to you.

Darwin did not say human's came from monkeys. They came from a different species that originally resembled apes. You cannot see it happen because it happens very slowly and takes millions of years.
Why are people who question evolution always so stupid?
