Scientifically, we'd have to say forward, I think.

But I've often wondered if we haven't already entered another "Middle Ages", so in that respect, back.

Forward. We will never be able to go back to the middle ages or see Tutankhamen, we will never see the year 1950 A.D. or 1326 B.C. again. We can study these things from what people who saw those things wrote, but we can't see them ourselves. We can have reenactors reenact certain times and give a pretty good picture of the past, but we can't go back. We are going forward. How can we help it? Moment builds upon moment in a continuous flow. True the universe is steadily declining because of the law of entropy, but even decay go's forward.

Yes it is... not crazy but not logical.
This is a linear universe and time is what we cal when stuff happens. It just happened and now we live now. We actually are always now so technically speaking: We are standing still. We can not move forward or backward in time.. Time travels alone.

Tangerine owns! LOL Anyway, we are not going anywhere in time. We are stuck in the moment. We don't live in the past or future, we live within the micro-seconds of this moment...The here and now. Past and future are just memories and speculation - respectively. As human beings, now is all we have.

According to Stephen Hawking, it is crazy. See 'A Brief History of Time'... or try to unbreak a teacup or unscramble an egg.

Niether we are in limbo. Time is man made created. We are suspended in an universe that is truly timeless, and we could only guess how long the universe has been here, or we could our faith in God to judge the issue.

I think that as long as we can stay optimistic we will go forward in time. We just have to smile.

time is fourth dimension and time travels and we remain still at all times. But since mind produce heat to store information, causing increase in entropy, that is why mind thinks in the direction of incresing entropy.

Since Bush has been in power, it seems like we have been going back in time. He's building a bridge to the 13th century.:)
