There's only one way to know: kill yourself and ask him when you're dead. Don't worry if you don't think you're good enough for heaven; I heard God likes to visit hell every so often. He and Satan like to keep in touch, you see.

If you are really interested in the answer, I suggest you review or at least mentally suspend your implied belief in a god.
With this weight off your shoulders and lots of study of physics you will eventually see that contrary to the ancient assumption that there must be an all powerful creator of what we see around us, there are very plausible explanations, leaving room for god only as a population control concept with massive political backing in most countries (of course).

God is the ultimate very God. Our understanding is so limited this is difficult for us to comprehend. However, God is defined for us in Scripture as being, all powerful, ever present and all knowing. If we could define the scope of God's existance, we might could understand the expanse of His power. God has always been throughout eternity past and will continue throughout eternity future. Our understanding is limited to beginnings, endings and limits on ability. God fits into none of these catagories. He is beyond our understanding and comprehension. We are taught these things about God in the Scriptures through the things said about Him, the names ascribed to Him and through the narratives as related in them. God cannot be understood, He can only be accepted as the Scriptures reveal Him.
God bless, hope this helps.

I don't really understand your question, but I think that your asking where god got the power from? There is no power, it is all psychological- your mind only believes what you tell it.

This question should be in religion and spirituality. It's not a scientific question in the remotest sense.
What God? What power?
I'll answer the question anyway: your imaginary God's power is imaginary because he is imaginary. He got that imaginary power from some imaginary source which is beyond my imagination.

What power? If this were a courtroom, I'd have to say "objection, assuming facts not in evidence." There are four forces in the universe, as far as we know. 1) the electromagnetic force; 2) gravity; 3) the strong nuclear force; and 4) the weak nuclear force. That's it. They keep the sun shining and the world turning.

In about 6000BC, many of the Earth Gods gave up on mankind as a "completely lost cause" (<=direct quote from Zeus), and sold their powers on the secondary market. God picked most of them up (for a song, let me tell you!) at a stall on the Portobello Road, and he's been having at it ever since.

God is the supposed explanation for our creation, which many people believe because we couldn't come out of nothing. But then, nobody has the explanation for what created god...came out of nothing? Just pushing the uncertainty away from themselves.
