This is from personal experience. I love to make plans. I love to create a step-by-step procedure that I can follow, therefore I have to pay extra attention to the details so mistakes can be avoided ahead of time. I do scan the big picture because I think of it as my goal. Sometimes skipping steps would be parts of my plan too. It depends on the situation. Sometimes jumping right in would be the best move and would bring back better results if the issue is time-sensitive.
Jumping right in to make the big picture come true is sometimes fun and adventurous. I don't know if those two kinds could exist in one same person but that's me.

Most of the time I go with my intuition and jump in, and it works out fine. It would depend on how big the decision was and if it involved spending a lot of money, then I would have to know details and ask for opinions from people I trust.

Depends on the situation. If someone needs help... Usually i'll jump right in and do something without thinking....Unless time permits it. Other wise. I prefer to take time and think things through and form a game plane before acting.

it depends on the situation at hand. If it's something that I feel confident about I usually jump right in, and the results aren't always good, but I learn from them and thats a beautiful thing. Most of the time I will weigh out the pros and cons, what to do if this happens, or if that happens, how I should handle myself should I become dumbfounded (this happens often) or loose my train of thought.

I plan first after researching the area of interest. I always have a contingency plan for failures or delays. Very rare do I regret decisions or blame some poor sap because I'm going into it with eyes wide open. My life is very ordered, disciplined, manageble and fairly predictable.
Just the way I like it!

I am the typical over-achiever, over-analyzer, detail-picker. I plan before acting. I plan before speaking. I plan before writing. I plan in my sleep. I am a worrier by nature and tend to get myself worked up and anxious about anything and everything. I think that I have made myself that way over the years by trying to perfect everything I touch.

Depends on the situation. usually I plan, but not rigidly. Sometimes you can be too inflexible. I look to follow my plan, but also 'go with the flow' and divert from it, or take any opportunities if they arise on the way.

I'm definitely a "scanner", I've just always been that way ever since I was a child, I tend to be more cautious than most people.

I am bi-polar so I see all the parts and the sums that they equate to. Oh no, where are my pills?
