I mean is it possible to have a miscarriage with no symptoms, no bleeding nor cramps, etc. What are some symptoms you can look out for? What are some things you can do to avoid a miscarriage? This is my 1st pregnancy and I am paranoid about this. By the way, thank you to those who ansered me about the ultra-sound question. I hope I can get one to alleviate my fears. Thank you.

It is very common for a woman not to experience any bleeding with a miscarriage in the early stages. The bleeding will eventually come if you leave it alone for a few weeks.

And bleeding in pregnancy does not necessarily lead to miscarriage.

Most of the first trimester miscarriages are not preventable because 90% of them are due to fetuses with abnormal chromosomes.

The next common cause of miscarriage is a deficiency of the hormone progesterone. This is one of the few instances whereby miscarriage can be prevented by a hormone supplement, either orally, vaginally or by injections.

The rarer causes of miscarriage will include abnormal uterus, certain infections, severe untreated medical conditions such as thyroid disease, renal failure, etc, as well as the presence of certain abnormal antibodies.

Go see your doctor if you are worried

Unfortunately, yes. With my first I found out I was pregnant very early and set an appointment and was so excited until I went in and had the ultrasound about 10 seconds later my doctor said she couldn't find a heartbeat. I had no symptoms and all of my original pregnancy symptoms stayed the same (sore and growing breasts, etc.). I decided to go through the miscarriage naturally and didn't end up actually having it until a month later. So unfortunately it is possible to have no symptoms what so ever although I'm sure it's rare.

The signs experienced depend upon how far along the pregnancy is. Most often tho you will have cramping, bleeding (although this isn't always the case).

For a first pregnancy this is often a common fear, but as long as you are being seen regularly by an Ob-gyn, are taking the vitamin supplements, folic acid etc and eating and sleeping well, you should have little to worry about. Mind you, don't go skateboarding or such :) but most likely if there is a miscarriage, it is noticeable but I don't think you will have to worry.

After the first tri mester miscarriage is a lesser incident.

Yes, it is possible. I miscarried twice very early on in the pregnancies. We were trying so I knew very early on that I was pregnant. When I went to the doctor he said that miscarriages that early were very common (due to the mothers body aborting a fetus that it knows is abnormal in some way). He said most of these miscarriages occur without the woman ever knowing she was pregnant to begin with because the symptoms are so similar to a bad period (menstrual cramps, bleeding, etc...). Try not to stress about it. I have one healthy child now and one almost here!! Just because you miscarry (even more than once) doen't mean that it can't happen for you.

Honey, you need to relax. This is your first pregnancy and you're freaking out. Trust me, you would know it if you had a miscarriage. You will lose all the symptoms of being pregnant, plus, your body will reject the dead fetus. But as long as you are taking care of yourself and eating right and all that, your baby will be fine, just as I'm sure it is right now. Stop worrying so much. You going through a wonderful experience right now. Don't ruin it, by worrying the whole time. Too much stress and worry will have very bad side effects and could have permanent side effects on the baby. You and baby will be a whole lot better off if you calm down and enjoy the little life growing inside you. Talk to him/her, sing, do anything but worry and cause stress. Good Luck honey!

You would know if you had a miscarriage. There would be lots of cramps and bleeding.

People have miscarriages for different reasons, so you need to talk to you doctor on ways to avoid it. But if you have regular doctor visits, make certain you eat, avoid overly strenuous exercises or activities (or lifting heavy objects). Then you and your baby should be okay!

Good luck.

Just relax, you will know if you had a miscarriage. It might be slightly different from one person to another as far at what symptoms may occur first. There will be heavy cramping, and bleeding. If you are very worried you can visit your doctor and they can do a blood test to check out your blood count and that is very accurate to tell what's going on.

Just relax and don't panic, if you don't feel well, then try to lay down on your back, drink lots of fluids and don't stress yourself out.

It's very possible to miscarry and not know it. In fact, a lot of women of childbearing age miscarry before they even know they're pregnant, like in the first 2 weeks.

But honestly, if you're getting regular check ups with your doctor and everything is going well, you don't have anything to worry about. Try not to stress about it because you'll just work yourself into a tizzy and put undue stress on the baby.

Relax and enjoy being pregnant. This is the only time you'll get to be the center of attention. Let people wait on you, accept help and get lots of rest.

Just think of that beautiful baby you're cooking up in there and treasure this time. It'll be gone before you know it.

Congrats on the pregnancy! You would know if you were having a miscarriage. Just keep going in for regular check ups and visit with your doctor about your concerns. I was the same way with my pregnancy, but if you think about it, most pregnancies occur without incident. Odds are you'll be fine, and you're baby will be fine. Take your vitamins and take care.
