God says no man knows when it will happen. Because He says this, no matter how good a book is to read it is never going to be definnitive.

The Bible says that no man knows the time... but to be prepared. In other words, your focus should be on how you live your life, rather than worry about the end.
If you know your boss is coming down the hall, don't you sit up straight and look like you are doing your best. The Lord wants us to be our best all the time... not just right before He comes.

according to the Mayans, who were a very advanced scientific people, their calendar ends on December 21, 2012. I would be more likely to follow what the Mayans said than the bible, this ancient civilization had written language, astronomy, and a calendar long before the rest of the world.

They have taken other long books, such as phone books or even Moby Dick, and search for key words concerning world events and found just as many matches as they did in the Bible. The Bible code is a bunch of non-sense.

No one knows for sure when the world will end. This question comes up all the time. Don't worry about it. Live your life accordingly.
Life is short enough as it is without worrying about the end of the world. We can't do anything about it anyway.

You would have to ask a pocifical question to get a question answered in pocifics. Your question is "does the bible tell the truth"? That is a moot question. The answer is of course it does. Also of course not. I hope that gets you the answer you were looking for. Someone to agree with you. Right?

no there will not be an end of the world for quite some time, but there will be one. The time scale is in the trillions of years.
