I am left handed, and everytime I meet someone new, they are so excited about the fact that I am left-handed, what's up with that? I know a lot of people who are leftys, what is so cool about it?

AniakDogLover: I know, people always ask me that too and it's pretty annoying. You can see that I'm writing with my left, yes of course I am left handed!

Another lefty reporting in .......
I'm always on the look out for other lefties !!
We are considered sinister in some circles ...
In my first 3 years of school the teachers
were always trying to change me,
but me mOm went to those idiots and put
a stop to that brainwashing ....
But now i'm ambidextrous because of that
experience ...
Yea, they were fascinated all right,
to CHANGE ME !!

I remember in elementary school I had wanted to be a lefty, or better yet, ambidextrous. Being part of "the norm" it seemed that lefties got special attention, they got to use the cool scissors. Plus you always heard how lefties are more artistic and musically inclined, aka more likely to be a rock star. When I get bored I still try to do things left-handed, just to see if I can, you lefties surely have to admit you prefer the admiration to the times when people thought left-handedness was akin to evilness.

My husband and I have been married for 2 years. He's a lefty and it still freaks me out sometimes. He will be writing something or doing something with his left and and my first reaction is to say.. what are you doing! or Why are you doing it that way... because I forget that he's left handed. It just looks so funny for him to do everything backwards from the way that I do everything. He writes funny, or when he cracks eggs... it just looks so weird. But I don't get excited. We just laugh about it. It's neat... because I am so "crippled" when it comes to using that hand.
I don't wish I was a lefty because some things that we do are awkward for him... I love being right handed... I think Mike is speaking for himself...
I do agree with Terry F. though. We also have to sit a certain way when we go out to eat or anything... otherwise he elbows the crap out of me. lol...

Honestly I have no idea. I fell for my husband before I realized he was a lefty. It drives me nuts. He hangs everything backwards and we have to sit a certain way so we don't bump each other during meals. Hahaha

Because left handed people use the right side of thier brain. Righties use the left side. So right handed people are out of thier right mind.

Simply because most people are "righties." The cliches here are "the grass is always greener on the other side" and "you always want what another has."
