I own a web design firm in Ohio and I have to agree with the other posters that it is hard to say. Our general base price for a website with a custom:
- Logo
- Homepage
- Secondary page header/footer
- Content formatting and placement on the site.
- Contact and quote forms with email submission

Runs about $3000. I have to add though that we are a premium service. All of our sites are put together by talented graphics artists and all are completely custom.

Flash is extra.

With that said a custom business website fully done with all of the same items as above can run between $300 and probably as high as $6000 depending on the quality of the work.

If you are able to add content yourself and only need the graphics and layout you can find sites between $250 and $3000. We usually fall about $1500.

I also want to add that some locations like most of California and New York City will likely be even higher due to the cost of living and higher overhead.

The lower prices above are if you go with the "guy next door" or possible foreign labor.

Good luck!

Depending on the type of bussiness it is you can go online and buy web templets for websites for very cheap ($35.00 to 125.00) on a lot of diffrent websites... This is most likely the best thing to do when starting a new company beacuse you wont to use as little money as possible... You can also go to yahoo webhosting and build the website yourself with there free program sitebuilder... it only 11.95 a month and they give u a discount if you have sbc dsl or att dsl now...

When I wanted to have a website for my small buisness I went on to learn how to build my own. There is alot of free info on how to build a web site. One of the easiest things I found to build a web site I found at Hiddenvault.com. Jeff created a easy to use step by step program to do this. I had to pay for his whole offer but that part was most usefull.

That's a really difficult question as it would depend on the number of pages, graphics and functionality.

I would suggest that you post a project on elance.com or guru.com to get some quotes.

Depends on what you want. The best answer would be to check locally for quotes. I'd be hesitant to do such online.
