I don't think religion has anything to do with intelligence.

I would think most religious people were indoctrinated into their religion at an early age and never took time to critically evaluate all of the options. By the time they're adults, many are so ingrained in their thinking - they don't bother to give any credibility to other options or philosophies about life. I think the good things from all religions and philosophies should be considered. I don't trust anyone that claims they "know." I think discovery and compassion is important overall.

Are you asking if religion attracts "dumber" people or if religion causes otherwise intelligent people to slowly lose intellectual ability? Of course, I believe the answer to both of those questions is "no." I've known some exceptionally intelligent atheists and I've known some exceptionally intelligent Christians, Jews, Mormons, and Muslims. Likewise I've known some pretty stupid atheists and I've known some pretty stupid people who were members of all sorts of faiths.

I don't think religiosity plays any role in intelligence.

uh no! Neither is dumb buit that the atheists has no ability to explore possibilities. they have believe in impossible more than possible. get what I mean? and its said, its what you believe that happens. if you dont believe or have faith that you can move a mountain from the middle of the sea to the middle of the land, you cant, nd trust me if you do, you'll see that you can. All you just have to do is try it.

If thats calling atheists dumber, then yea atheists are dumber than religious people.
besides, no one is dumb in sense that, even the people who rnt literates(not dumb) can things or know things that the literates do. so it balances it.

no. Atheists are dumberer. If a person doesn't believe in God, then why do they have to make it a point to say they don't? They make it a point because they know God exists and they're denying His existence. Otherwise, they just wouldn't even be bothered by it all.

Religion is usually chosen by faith and what you have believed since young. It has nothing to do with intelligence. Religion and Intelligence are two different things. Religion is run by faith and Intelligence is run by brain functions. Atheists and religious people are not much different. They both believe very strongly in the opposite, both believing something different but in the same category.

if they believes in myths I would say so. They are dumber or they follow people. Anybody that believes there is a being just floating around up their making stuff must be stupid.

No, it's a lot harder to justify a belief in God than not to believe. Religious people have to do a lot more hard thinking.
