Politicians are a shady breed ... man or woman.
I would guess that most woman stay away from politics because of the false promises and wheeling and dealing. Certainly, some women are given this gift; but the majority of women will deliverer (or kill themselves trying) what they say they will. This often is harmful to the citizens they represent. Not all things stay the same, and men have learned that breaking promises often can benifit the whole instead of the few ... which western women now are slowly learning.
What should they campaign for? Global communications, global equality (but I'd say this for any politician man or woman), and global peace

Why does it matter? Are you really going to vote for them just because they're female?
Don't get me wrong, I totally believe that women can be as strong, and as capable as men, if not more.
However, I don't base my political choices on whether the proposal comes from a man or a woman. I use my mind, and make decisions based on what makes most sense. I hope that the rest of the women out there can do the same thing, otherwise, we're doomed to be ruled by men, simply by our own foolishness.

I think when more women are in politics, inroads will be made in education, environment and international relations to improve those areas. I look forward to a female President, as long as she's not a Republican!
