First of all that person needs to get out of the relationship if the other doesnt want to get help! But friends and family are the best support most of the time!!

they have support groups usually in ever county. they have them not only for the alcoholic but for the family dealing with an alcoholic. you need to learn tough love. i know where you are coming from my husband was an acoholic and an addicted so hang in thier be strong.

There is a group just like AA that is for spouses of acoholics. It is called Al-anon.

Call your states family services department. However, If after the opportunity for him to get help he refuses help or he wont stop drinking LEAVE him. If you don't leave him its your choice, just don't whine when he beats you or you go broke because he has no job.
