No, he retired as a player on Sunday... even if he hadn't at 38 he would be too old to even be considered for the squad.

Sorry, he isn't. The 2006 final was his last match ever, international and club football. And what a way to go too - with a red card. However, I really don't know how long this will last because he'd already retired once before from international football, but heard "a voice telling him to return to the french team" (I'm serious about this, he's said it in interviews). Plus, loads of other players have retired before and come back; as of right now though, he's retired.

No he has now retired from professional football altogether. So he wont even play 4 real madrid anymore
