Never. "Shut up" is not something anyone should tolerate. It shows that he is not only uninterested in what you are talking about, but also uninterested in treating you with respect. If it's important that you are silent for whatever reason, there are so many ways for him to say this without being disrespectful.

You are important, and you should never allow anyone to treat you otherwise. Put the boy in his place. Either he treats you with the respect that you deserve, or you find someone who does!

Nope, he's rude. Wow, I leave a piece of paper lying on the table or don't fill up the toilet paper shelf and I get reamed for it. I do all the dishes, do all the vacuuming, dusting, and earn over a hundred grand a year. And she still wants a divorce. Anyone want a relationship like this? I'm about to walk out.

Answer will be no. That guy disrespect you and you don't need that guy telling you to shut up ALOT!!!! becasue seems that he didn't understand you or want take time to sit down and listen what you have to say.

I am married to wife and I never ever once tell my wife to shut up. Why is that becasue I listen to her all the time and she does with me too. so You don't need a guy telling you to shut up... go find other guy. smile.

You are smart, beautiful, outgoing, great smile, your personaity from inside and outside is the best. and Don't put up with him smile.

Only if she puts NO value on herself. "Shut Up" is not a phrase I would use to anyone I were going with, period...it has no place in a relationship.

He won't have to tell you to shut up if you just go away which sounds like your best choice

Your to good to be treated like a doormat.

Stick up for yourself and tell him not to speak to you that way anymore. If he continues, then you need to get out of that relationship. Because he doesn't care about you enough to respect you.

You HAVE to care enough about yourself, to stand up for yourself.
