There is already another sequel filmed. It will be coming out next year. It was an open ending that leaves you with the possibility that if Barbosa is alive, then maybe Jack will be too. They filmed the two movies together, and it is similar to The Matrix trilogy; the first movie could stand alone, but the second movie needs the third to resolve it.

As for Jack, I'm sure he didn't die. I mean, come on, he IS the movie, so it would be stupid to not have him in the third one. And if you go to www.imdb.com Johnny Depp is on the cast list for Jack Sparrow, and imdb is pretty reliable. I'm sure they'll come up with a good way for him to have survived.
As for Barbossa, if you actually watched all of the credits and gave a little time to reading the list of amazing people who make a film, you would have gotten a little reward and you would know why Barbossa is alive. After the credits of the first movie, the monkey goes back to the chest. He grabs a medallion, and it is shown that he is a skeleton when he goes into the moonlight. My guess is that Barbossa wasn't quite dead yet at that point, so the monkey saved him. No one thought to kill the monkey and look what happens....
They sure left a lot of loose ends hanging at the end of that film! But I loved it! Especially the brilliant action scene on the island near the end!

No Jack sort of is at the bottom of the sea, but I am sure they will recover him alive on some technicality. Barbosa is immortal (I think) and he came back to man the black pearl because he used to be the captain. So, they are all going to bring Jack back by going to the deepest part of the ocean next summer.

I keep saying people have to pay attention. OK, Jack really died, so the crew went to the Gypsy to grieve I guess, and the Gypsy tells them that there is a way to get Jack back, and that is to go to the end of the earth, but that they would need a captain who knows those waters, so thats when Barbosa comes in. The Gypsy must have brought Barbosa back to life, his body stayed where it was when he was killed, the Gypsy or somebody must have brought it back to the Gypsy's house where she brought him back to life.

Everybody else pretty much have it covered, but did anyone notice the first time they went to the lady's house, the monkey went through a curtain behind her and there were legs wearing boots lying on a table, Presumably Barbosa before she brought him back to life. A nice little bit of foreshadowing for everyone.

i ought to surprisingly propose POTC II: completely ROCKED!!! It had a sluggish commence and many of the jokes were slightly corny, to be straightforward, yet there became surely an complicated plot of twists and impressive action sequences. The particular consequences were fairly astonishing and Jack Sparrow delivered yet another pleasant performance (it extremely is, in case you loved his very last one). Davey Jones and his sea crew are extremely ugly yet no longer inevitably frightening. What am i able to say, it became an mind-blowing movie--i'm easily going to be sure it back tonight and could look ahead to POTC III. This movie became in such multiple procedures uniquely extra perfect than the first one--it does regardless of the indisputable fact that leave you with such multiple inquiries to be replied contained in the third installment. DONT await THE condominium!!!--- and in case you sense susceptible to be sure POTC II, dont leave till the credit are over (there's a particular clip on the accurate). some human beings ought to say they disliked the ending, yet that is because that's no longer meant to end. the first POTC had an ending because they weren't efficient there's a sequel. regardless of the indisputable fact that, audiences want to be left "mind-blowing" with the intention to have adequate anticipation for the subsequent installment.

ok...captain jack did not die because if he did they shouldn't make a 3rd movie (which they are) because a lot of people wouldn't see bacause johnny depp was not in it...so yeahh
and captain barbosa, i was confused about that but the witch doctor lady, tia, probly brought him back to life...and if jack really is dead than she can probly bring him back from the dead, too!! its all very strange...but i love johnny and orlando!!!!!!!!!
