I think there is a limit. I do believe you should be honest with your spouse, but there are certain things that he doesn't need to know. For example; tell him the amount of people you have ingaged in sex with. But dont tell him specifics, like positions, etc.. ..
I feel that if your not honest with him/her then you cant be honest with yourself.
Just open up and tlak about things. You might be surprised at the support you get.

The element of surprise is often an encouragement in a steady relationship. Don't spill the beans all at once! Being honest is all ways a very good thing but being mysterious can lead to a more fruit-full environment. If you talking about typical situations along the lines of past relationship then be honest. Sometime it's better to play shy and make him/her wonder about what your answer would be. But don't lie! Avoid the question if needed but don't lie!

I have a very OPEN and HONEST realtionship with my husband, we share everything. It feels so much better to not have to sneak around words or situations, just to avoid saying something that you didnt share w/ your spouse. Communication is the key, it is great to have a best friend to talk to, we share everything, sometimes jealousy, anger, and all kinds of different emotions pop up but you deal with them as they do. You dont want to start a relationship off with being dishonest and no trust. Good Luck!

Do not give information that the spouse may not be able to handle. Men are often too jealous to handle the activities of their mate even before meeting them. It is really none of their business as their past is only relevant if they have aids.or other sexual diseases. Knowing they had a past as you may have had is enough. You can say what they did is not important but to be safe You think getting tested is a good idea. Watch how they take that news and you will learn allot.

In theory, absolute and complete openness is a good thing. From a practical standpoint, don't be too foolish. Be loyal and committed, but there are some fleeting thoughts that are best not shared....or if not thoughts, a past indiscretion that you cannot take back and don't intend to repeat.

I think everyone has a secret side or a side they are embarrassed to let anyone see. My husband is my best friend and I share almost everything with him. There are things better left unsaid. And he is that way with me.

But keep in mind there are certain things that have their ways of creeping into reality. Just be prepared for those little secrets. Pick your fights and be adult about them. =D

Me and my husband have an EXTREMELY open relationship..... Sexually and Emotionally. Its fantastic. Its by far the best relationship I've ever had... But you cant be two faced about it. You cant want to know everything and then get jealous. The best thing about us is that we NEVER get jealous. Jealousy is a terrible and wasted emotion.

I think it's great. I don't hide anything (except suprises on upcoming occaisions). There really shouldn't be a reason to hide anything unless you are doing something wrong.

No, especially with a woman. A guy could take things, he's not so sensitive most of the time, but a woman will take anything and turn it into something horrible! hehe
