I will be a returning student this fall and in need of some extra money to pay for school. I don't want to take out another student loan.

You did not indicate whether you might qualify for scholarships set aside for minority candidates. If so, there are other arenas you may also want to explore.

You also did not mention which school you'll be attending. Many seminaries have ways to help deserving students fund their education.

However, you are a bit too late to apply for funding for the fall. Most scholarships have December, January, or February due dates.

I must say, however, that very few students manage to get through seminary without ANY student loans. You should be realistic about this.
