I heard my baby's heartbeat at 9 1/2 weeks with a hand held doppler so I say chances are very good you'll be able to hear your baby's heartbeat today.

Most likely, most of the time the heart is mature enough at 8 to 9 weeks

You should be. I got to hear my baby's heartbeat at 10 weeks.

you should. My friend is 10 weeks and heard the heartbeat through an ultrasound last week.

I had a sonogram at 12wks but they didn't listen for a heart beat. I was really disapointed. Really depends on your docotor.

yep, generally around 12 weeks they can here it. if they can't don't worry though. they'll try again in another few weeks.
