I heard my baby's heartbeat at 9 1/2 weeks with a hand held doppler so I say chances are very good you'll be able to hear your baby's heartbeat today.
Good luck! It'll be like music to your ears!

Most likely, most of the time the heart is mature enough at 8 to 9 weeks

I had a sonogram at 12wks but they didn't listen for a heart beat. I was really disapointed. Really depends on your docotor.
