I cannot tell you about other lines but the skin care regimen I use is ARBONNE, specially their antiaging care which is wonderful. the best thing is that they are formulatted with botanical principles and formulatted without mineral oil, animal prooducts or fragrances which all these ingredients are very harmfull for our skin.. Mineral oil is the 2nd worse thing we could do to our skins health for it is like rubbing car oil on our skin and exposing ourselfes to the sun, animal products come from dead animals and these come from rendering plants these plants pick all dead animal and dead animal parts (from meat houses, etc.) and they put it in a huge pot, squash everything and boils it, what ever comes to the top is the oil other companies use to elaborate thier products, gross I know...the lipstick... ewww anyway, that is why i use botanically based products which is way much better because they get absorbed and the nutrients inside the products is what helps our skin look and feel healthy... check it out it is called ARBONNE and i buy them online at: http://arbonnepuertorico.myarbonne.com under shop online.... they are not sold in stores but it is a great way to buy becasue they have this money back guarantee if for some reason there is something you do not like form the products you get your money back guarantee (within 45 days from purchase) so you have nothing to loose.... But the ingredients at least some of them are: Walnut Shell Powder: Description: synonyms: Jugland Regia shell powder, CAS No. 84012-43-1. Crushed walnut shell is a hard fibrous material ideal as abrasive. Its grit is extremely durable, angular & multi-faceted, yet considered a soft abrasive. Very fine particle size (through 40 mesh, on 100 mesh). Fine light-brown powder, characteristic oder. Insoluble in water. Properties: soft but effective abrasive. It is natural, non-toxic, biodegradable, reusable & compatible with anionic, non-ionic & cationic surfactants. Use: add to formulas as is, usual final concentration 5 - 50%. It also contains chamomila, a daisy like plant. Extract from the white and yellow heads of this daisy like plant (chamomile flowers) is used as an excellent skin soother and anti-inflammatory agent. Reputed to bring down swelling and pain in the skin and mucous membranes. Chamomile is used extensively in professional skin care products for its essential oil called azulene. Also calms eczema and allergic reactions. It is used in many hair care products to enhance color. It acts as an emollient, anti-inflammatory, skin soothing agent and provides antioxidation. Aloe and goldenseal extracts gives immediate skin tightening effect and also long-term effect by protecting skin cells from oxidative stress & strengthening skin’s connective tissue by stimulating collagen synthesis & renewal of tissue cells.

Some of the beads actually burst when you're using them, and cleans the face. Some are actually seeds, like flax seeds, strawberry seeds, or other seeds that act like an exfoliant to scrub the skin.

I think some of them, like St. Ives Apricot scrub uses like a sandy or crushed shell material. It has larger courser pieces in it, and it works pretty well on my skin; which is oily and acne ridden.
