Admittedly, it would hardly be noticed in such sports as hockey or football, but it would seem to offer wonderful possibilities in such sports as in tennis when players change ends or in golf when it could be practiced when players approach the first tee.

i think it would be better to start its own sport....headbutting with celebrities, political candidates, models, reality show stars consider the possiblities....consider the fun !

Absolutely. Introducing the head butt into the abnominable sport of Baseball would liven up the game at least to a small degree. Since by definition, baseball players have no measurable intellectual function, the player's employment of the head butt could not cause him any injury.

C'mon, head butting is so old school. Just ask all those guys who run with the bulls in Pamplona! Zidane was just biting off that and couldn't come up with an original move.
What I would like to see, radical idea though it may be, is for athletes in any given sport to actually play their sport and not pose and throw punches, and act like fools. That's what we have Luche Libre and WWE for!

If you think like that then there are other "tricks" that could be used which you did not mention.
It is not just the head butt, but for example the split face introduced by Francesco Totti. He split in another player's face not in 2006.
Split face might be introduced in wrestling for example.

head butting just prior to birdie putts... that would make golf much more fun to watch... especially the seniors tour...
also, in world series of poker... if someone takes you out you can perform a diving headbutt over the table.. so long as no part of your body disturbs the chip piles....
