ask a question, just like you did now. ask them about themselves if they say why just tell them you took interest in them...find out what they are interested in whether its sports, culture, current events, something that may have just happenedand yeah some people just like to talk about themselves, if they ask you a question about yourself that give you a chance to open up and talk about yourself but dont give a life story, but do try to get theirs that way they can be more open...it doesnt hurt to have a line up of questions either for when there is that brief silent moment, i have a coworker that talks about any and everything, my friend is the same way, i'll ask someone a question and they give me a one word answer, he'll ask them something about the same thing and they give him the whole story and details lol, i dont talk to people much tho, oh and the more fun and lively you seem it makes people comfortable, if you look serious all the time they may be hesitant to conversate with you...

It really depends. Usually if you say hi, chances are ull just get a hi back then you are stuck. You are going to observe what the person like and if these things are mutual you can talk from there.

Well you can sart with hi! Then you can state somethings about yourself and ask them if their the same or different and just go from there if you really have a conectin with someone then the converation schould come easy!

When your checking them out ....I always look at what they like to accent them self with whether it be fine clothing,,jewelry,music,even their car..{.compliment them} People really do love to talk about them self's if you can open them up . Or if you already know some stuff about them... What's the hold up ? Work with them tools... GOOD LUCK TO YOU... Your interest in them alone will raise their Brow ..Stop worrying and get busy...
