Forget Wikipedia and dictionaries. Use your own brain. My brain says that "whining" is to complain about minor things. Some people label complaining about colossal blunders of a great magniture, e.g., the Iraq war, as whining. Who's right?

Southpaw: You are naive if you think anyone here is telling the whole world our battle plans! If its repeating a point over and over and over - then why not just say that, it would be much more effecteve than calling it "whining"!

Not one person has ever called my ranting pointless and boring. If that's what it is, then call a spade a spade. For example, Rush Limbaugh's 3 daily hours of ranting is pointless and boring - not whining!

My brain says that too, that whining is just like complaining but about small little stuff sometimes insignificant etc...it's like when someone goes bla bla bla bla bla while telling a story coz' the bla blas are merely insignificant details of the actual story....I guess the example of the Iraq war, as whining; is proof to how much care is portrayed towards all the lives this war has destroyed....

Pointing them out is one thing. Pointing them out again and again and again and again and again until you get your way is another. Telling the whole world our battle plans is also a very douchebaggerish thing to do.
