if one partner had been dishonest and lied many times.. had an affair once but you chose to forgive, how do u forget and how to rebuild the trust once more??

To rebuild trust, both partners have to be willing to work at it and give their 110%.
With the description you wrote here, your partner looks like he/she's used to lie and be dishonest... and cheating. Do you think your partner will work as hard as you will on rebuilding this relationship?

it would be best if you moved on, building trust again takes time, and what he did will always be in your mind no matter how many changes he has made or is acting towards you, once a person lies and cheats on you once they most likely will do it again, especially if you say you forgive them then whats to stop them again because they know they will be forgiven and all they have to do is show Little bit of improvement for you to think things are OK....

There are a lot of variables to your question. Do you have kids? Do you still love this person, etc. But, when trust is broken it is beyond repair. Most people just deal and deprive themselves of what their needs are1
