Robin Williams said it best in "Moscow On The Hudson" when he claimed, "Everyone I meet is from somewhere else." Every country in the world sends people to this country to make a living and they bring what is theirs with them.
You can look just about anywhere. If you don't see culture, you don't know what you are looking for. There is a love of art with museums available in every major cities. Artists, (starving and sustaining) abound. You can't help but trip over them. Performing artists, in just about any city, willing to perform for peanuts. Musicians and tons of ORIGINAL music. Some of the best comes from right here. Of course, there's some real swill out there clogging the airwaves, but hey, what can you expect.
If a common national culture is what you are looking for you are definitely looking in the wrong place. Show me a country that has been offered a taste of western life (in some way, they all cave in to McDonalds, KFC, Stephen King, Bruce Springsteen and even American cinema just to name a few) and HAS NOT accepted it and you will have a shining example of a country with their own true culture.
One should also keep in mind that imports account for more than half of the sales of dry goods in this country. If the money is still good that pays for all that stuff, why should you care? Perhaps those that DO have their wonderfully superior cultures should recognize which side of the bread their butter is on.

Because America's "culture" is made up of the collective cultures of every county who had people come here and settle down. America didn't develop an advanced culture or individual culture like every other country. Every tradition, food, custom, and even holidays, came from somewhere else. Even words in the English language is made up of words from foriegn languages!
In short, America never eally had any natives her with an individual culture; people came here and bits and pieces of their culture formed the bigger part of wha is American culture today.

I'm afraid we're getting a culture of ignorance and stupidity, judging from both the questions and responses I've read here. But we still are more powerful, more successful, and better off than any other nation in the world. That's why we're so hated. Deal with it.

We have culture. You don't acknowledge much of it because you're just the kind of person demanding that we tolerate YOU and your culture, rather than you respecting ours.
American culture is about jazz, swing and blues and rock and all other kinds of music, about the arts, being free to have people like you deride us--all without you having to worry about dying for your opinion.
Freedom of speech is part of American culture. Nice of you to make use of it while denouncing the country that solidified it.

They do have culture, but unlike other countries, it isn't a singular thing. It's a blending together of other cultures. btw, why aren't hamburgers and fries considered a culture, it's solely american isn't it??

Americans do have a culture and yes Hamburgers and French Fries are apart of it. So is dirty rice, apple pie, and clam chowder. We like R&B, Pop, Jazz, Smooth Jazz, Gospel, Latin, & Gospel Music. We are christian, jewish, buddhist and catholic. We are black, white, asian, and latino. We are Yankees and Country, West Coast and East Coast, Mid-West and Southern. We live, breath, eat, speak, shiz, sleep, and sweat culture. If you are so narrow minded that you can't realize that than you need to go to lens crafters because the rest of us see our culture just fine.

You're really funny...not. Thanks for the comment on my question. I know you just said it because you're mad about me calling you a bastard on your other dumb- a s s question about America not making its own language. Good luck...you have a very hostile attitude...but it's somewhat entertaining to know that you spend time dwelling on things that don't matter. Who cares if you think America has no culture? You waste 5 points by asking questions like that. Thanks for the 2 points.
