I have never understood what a soft boiled egg is. the inside of a hard boiled egg is soft. What is a soft boiled egg then?

Hard boiled eggs are better. I only eat the yellow though. But if they are fried I say soft. Over easy is better if you cut them up with a fork into little pieces with salt and pepper.

it all depends what your going to do with them..or what mood I am in...
I use both in my potato salad and egg salad, it makes for different taste and textures..I like that...
and some times I just like to eat a soft boiled egg with toast, and let the yoke just drip out onto my toast...or suck out the soft yoke...
and then I also like to eat hard boiled eggs and salt them..
so I guess I like them both equally...
and they are both have their place in the taste place...

Germans usually make them soft and have a special cup and spoon to eat them with..I like mine hard and I peel them and put them in this egg slicer dohicky and put them on my sandwiches
