There would not be a best place to live during the ext ice age because the ice age will affect the entire planet. The global temperatura will drop significantly, most food sources will be exhausted. Even today on the Antarctic and Arctic the are a handful of animal and plant species. When the next ice age comes that will happen to 3/4 of the planet's surface. The border of live will be pushed closer to the equator about 10 degrees nourth and south of it. Even though that place around the equator will be the most suitable habitat for human life as most species will migrate to that place and as a result of that food sources will be most stable there. Also the temperatura will be the highest in those areas around the equator.

There would be no best place to live. That place would be determined by the ability to adapt. If you are from a tropical environment and the next ice age hits; lets assume this is a global event, then preparedness, adaptability and an attitude of preservation will determine if you are in a best place. The best place to reside during the next ice age would also be in the right frame of mind.

The best place to live during an extended deep cold spell would probably on or below the 30th parallel, while taking into consideration the environment.
The ‘food belt’ will also move south as the mid-west ‘food belt’ will be far to cold to sustain plant growth.
Look for moisture, sunlight and reasonable soil in your search.
Don’t count on it being 20,000 years, as was stated in one of thee answers, before we are faced with extended deep cold spell either, as it can come quickly.

So staying warm in a cold climate isn’t the only challenge. Be sure to have a HOTHOUSE!

As close to the equator as possible. Even then, the weather would be a lot cooler than usual but the ice doesn't usually get that far. The ice around the North and South pole would spread out but only so far.

I'd imagine the equator would be best, as it's furthest from the polar ice caps and would therefore be the last place affected, but I doubt we'll be alive to see the next ice age.

Near the equator or as close as you can get to it. I think The Ice comes in from the poles so the equator would be your best chance. Haha good question.
